SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL PASSPORT AWARENESS MONTH

Paterson, N.J. – Kristin M. Corrado, Esq., Passaic County Clerk, will celebrate “Passport Awareness Month - Apply Early Campaign” by offering free passport photos with payment of all application fees on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the County Clerk’s Satellite Office located at 1237 Ringwood Avenue, Haskell (Wanaque), New Jersey from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the County Clerk’s Office located at 401 Grand Street, Room 130, Paterson, New Jersey from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

“If you need a new passport or to renew your passport, September is the time to do it,” said Kristin M. Corrado, Passaic County Clerk. “Residents who don’t have a U.S. passport should consider applying for their passport now. You never know when you may have to travel on short notice. Residents with U.S. passports should check the expiration date and start the renewal process about two months ahead of time.”

“Apply Early” and submit your application well ahead of time of your planned travel in order to avoid delays receiving your document. Visit Travel.State.Gov/ApplyEarly for more information.
The full names of the applicant’s parent(s) must be listed on all certified birth certificates to be considered as primary evidence of U.S. citizenship for all passport applicants, regardless of age. Certified birth certificates missing this information will not be acceptable as evidence of citizenship.

For information on fees and any other questions, please call the County Clerk’s office at (973) 225-3690 or visit our website at www.passaiccountynj.org.
