Public Works The Public Works Department is charged with maintaining the eight county building complexes, and the county infrastructure, which includes 247 miles of roadway, 450 bridges and culverts, and the county drainage system. There are three divisions within Public Works and each has its own responsibilities. The Engineering Department is charged with preparing all plans and specifications for work performed on county infrastructure. The Operations Department is charged with supervising repair work and inspection of all county roads, and snow removal on county roadways. The Buildings and Grounds Department is charged with maintaining the County Administration Building and other county owned facilities. Steven J. Edmond, P.E.
