National Caregivers Awareness Month Seminars

November is National Family Caregivers Awareness Month. Join us as we kick off  celebrating "Caregiving Around the Clock" with a Sock Hop on November 1st. We are also offering insightful seminars throughout the month of November geared towards Family Caregivers: 


November 13th at 6 PM
Road Map to Caregiving: In recognition of National Caregivers Awareness Month, Passaic County Department of Senior Services is teaming with Dawn Thomas, MSW, LCSW, C-ASWCM-Aging Life Care Professional to provide a comprehensive roadmap to caregiving. Dawn will be discussing issues such as long term care planning, when to make the hard decisions, and what to say to your loved ones in need. Passaic County Care Managers will be discussing programs and resources that are available in Passaic County.

November 27th at 12 PM
Long-Term Care Planning For The Special Needs of Seniors and Disabled Adults: Planning in advance is key to protecting the highest percentage of your assets. This free seminar will give answers to your questions about long-term healthcare, Medicaid and tax planning. 

November 28th at 5:30 PM
The Big Four: Wills, Living Wills, Healthcare Proxy and Power of Attorney: Join us in celebrating National Caregivers Awareness Month with an in depth discussion about 4 “must have” documents that will protect your future and the future of your loved ones: will, living will, healthcare proxy and Power of Attorney.
