Passaic County Kids to Parks Day-National Day of Outdoor Play

WOODLAND PARK - Passaic County 4-H, in collaboration with the Passaic County Parks Department, and the Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders are holding the 1st Annual Kids to Parks Day-National Day of Outdoor Play on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Great Meadow in Garret Mountain Reservation, Woodland Park. Kids to Parks Day is a nationally coordinated day created by the National Park Trust designed to connect kids and families with their local, state, and national parks. On this day kids across the country will be getting outdoors and having fun while learning about park stewardship, STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), and history. This event will help to teach the next generation to appreciate our parks and public lands. National Park Trust is working to foster future park enthusiasts and create the next generation of park stewards.

We invite all Passaic County families and kids of all ages to join us in celebrating our Parks and National Day of Outdoor Play. Passaic County Kids to Parks Day will be filled with many fun activities such as hiking, nature scavenger hunts, face painting, obstacle courses, hands-on science activities, archery, and many more! There will be prizes to be won and lots of fun! This is a free family event and we hope many families will join us on this great day. Pre-registration is recommended – for more info please contact the Passaic County 4-H office at (973) 684-4786 or email passaic4h@njaes.rutgers.edu.
