Keyboarding Clerk 1, Bilingual Spanish and English | County Clerk

The Passaic County Clerk’s office is seeking a highly motivated full time Keyboarding Clerk 1 who will perform routine, repetitive clerical work involving the processing of documents in a variety of functions.  Key enters/types correspondence, documents, reports, and other materials on a computer console or other key entry device used by the agency. 

Example of work may include:

  • Key enters or type information from handwritten draft into final draft or final form.
  • Provide general, routine information in person or over the telephone.
  • Edits, proofreads, and performs spelling or grammar checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Simple arithmetic calculations and tabulations.
  • Receives applications, documents, and forms, screens, sorts, and assembles this information for further processing.
  • Perform tasks accurately within prescribed time frames.
  • Hand stamps letters, receipts, and other documents.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English & Spanish sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.

 

Requirements:

Education: N/A

Experience: Applicant will be required to demonstrate proficiency in keyboarding or typing.
