The Passaic County Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services receives state and county funding to ensure the availability of treatment services, particularly for the indigent. The Human Services Department, through this division, funds various qualified treatment providers, programs and initiatives that address mental health and addictions concerns. Addiction services include: Prevention, Early Intervention, Treatment and Recovery Supports. This division also operates the Municipal Alliance Program and the Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC). Some of the Mental Health services available in the county include: outpatient and inpatient mental health services, psychiatric emergency services, supportive housing, ICMS, PACT, self-help support, respite care, and children and adult partial care.   • Passaic County Family Support Organization (FSO), PerformCare, is a family-run, county-based organization that provides direct family-to-family peer support, education, advocacy and other services to family members of children with emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals
  • American Foundation for Suicide Prevention: A voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death.

Passaic County Prevention Coalition

United for Prevention in Passaic County is the county's substance abuse prevention coalition. The coalition seeks to create an environmental change relating to substance abuse by promoting awareness, communication and support for all county residents.
