Children’s Interagency Coordinating Council (CIACC)
The CIACC is an advisory body and recommendations from the body are made to the Passaic County Mental Health Board. The CIACC is also advisory to the Passaic County Department of Human Services and to the New Jersey Department of Children and Families (DCF).
The CIACC serves as the county mechanism to advise DCF on the development and maintenance of a responsive, accessible, and integrated system of care for children, youth and young adults with emotional and behavioral challenges and their families, substance use challenges, and youth with intellectual developmental disabilities through the involvement of parents, children, youth and young adults, child-serving agencies, and community representatives.
Through enhanced coordination of system partners, the CIACC also identifies service and resource gaps and priorities for resource development.
In collaboration with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), the Children’s Interagency Coordinating Council (CIACC) strives to ensure a seamless array of services.
Children's System of Care Public Awareness
New Jersey's Children's System of Care (CSOC), through the Department of Children and Families, is the state agency serving children and youth with emotional or behavioral challenges, substance use issues, or living and thriving with developmental disabilities. We serve children, youth and their families through wraparound services, peer supports, mobile response and stabilization, and in-home, in-community and out-of-home programs.
Kids, teens and young adults are coping with a lot, from uncertainty associated with the COVID-19 pandemic to the social impact of civil unrest and protests. On top of the general challenges that come with growing up, many young people are feeling heightened senses of anxiety, depression and loneliness. For some, this can lead to extreme behavioral changes – like acting out, substance use or running away from home.
DCF's Children's System of Care (CSOC) provides children & adolescents with coordinated access to mental health supports, substance use treatment & services for intellectual or developmental disabilities. If your child is in need of assistance, don't wait. &Call CSOC today -- (877) 652-7624.
