Preakness Healthcare Center is licensed as a 406-bed skilled nursing facility that is owned and operated by the Passaic County Board of County Commissioners. Our mission is to provide the finest care to our patients and residents. We offer sub-acute care, physical rehabilitation, long-term care, behavioral management, Ventilator/Respiratory Care Hospice and Palliative Care, and Respite services. Preakness Healthcare Center has been providing high-quality healthcare since 1929.

Preakness Healthcare offers a wide variety of amenities, including private and semi-private rooms, beautiful courtyards and patios, exercise facility, game room, library, cafeteria, an on-site hair salon, on-site dental services, ophthalmology, hearing care, complimentary Internet and TV access, laundry services, and religious services. Preakness Healthcare offers a myriad of social activities, community trips, concerts, cultural programs, creative arts, and pet therapy.

Preakness Healthcare Center has been providing care for close to a century. In addition to Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care, Preakness Healthcare Center is licensed to provide Behavioral management Care to residents who are ventilator dependent. Hospice, Palliative Care, and Respite Services are also offered.
