County Clerk Elections Responsibilities
The County Clerk’s Office is responsible for the following election duties:
► Receiving petitions for candidates for elective offices
► Printing of election materials
► Maintaining Vote by Mail (“Absentee”) voter lists
► Handling Vote by Mail Applications and Ballots
► Overseeing drawings for ballot positions
► Certifying primary and general election votes to the New Jersey Department of State - Division of Elections
Election Results
Passaic County’s election results are available on this website Election Night. Please note, before the voting information is provided to the county, all voting materials are delivered to the appropriate Municipal Clerk’s office to begin the process of tallying the votes. The Clerk’s office will then immediately post the election results to the County Website.
Reports
Copies of reports such as Mail in Ballot Lists and Voter Registration Lists are available through the Clerk’s Office for a fee and by requesting ahead of time. Our office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
