GIS breakdownThe Department of Planning and Economic Development maintains and develops spatial data for Passaic County. We provide geographic information system (GIS) resources to citizens, businesses, and other county departments. The Passaic County GIS mapping is compiled from existing state GIS datasets such as digitized parcels created from scanned tax maps. The base mapping is organized into Shapefiles and File Geodatabases and is available as countywide data or by municipality. Learn more about GIS.

We provide the following feature sets with their respective feature classes in Shapefiles and File Geodatabases:

Feature Sets

  • Passaic County Topographic Contours
  • Passaic County Municipal Boundaries
  • Passaic County Blocks and Parcels
  • Passaic County Park Trails and Points of Interest
  • New Jersey Office of GIS (NJOGIS) Road Centerlines
  • New Jersey Office of GIS (NJOGIS) Address Points
