Keyboarding Clerk 1 - (Temporary) | Senior Services, Disability & Veterans Affairs/Paratransit Division

The Passaic County Department of Senior Services, Disability & Veterans Affairs - Paratransit Division, is seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent organizational and communication skills. The Keyboarding Clerk 1 role will perform routine, repetitive clerical work involving answering the telephone, attending to customers, processing of mail and other related duties as required by the department.

Examples of work include but aren't limited to:

• Provide general, routine information in-person or over the telephone.
• Scanning, copying, maintaining, and receiving faxes, communications, and other material regarding paratransit trips and ridership.
• Enter information into the software system and monitor trips.
• Perform tasks accurately within prescribed time frames.
• Using Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer programs and software,
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with the public and have excellent customer service interaction.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English & Spanish is preferred.

Requirements:

Education: N/A

Experience: Applicants will be required to demonstrate proficiency in keyboarding or typing. Previous Government experience preferred*

Note: Knowledge of ADA regulations & DOT/FTA guidelines helpful.

License: Valid New Jersey Driver's License required if operating for the duties of the position
