The data presented in the following maps were derived from various state agencies and are to be used as starting points for discussion and negotiation during Cross Acceptance. The first series of maps are the Preliminary Policy Map of the New Jersey State Development and Redevelopment Plan. The maps are divided into one hundred and seventy-eight quadrangles encompassing the entire state of New Jersey. Each quadrangle has a designated number and a corresponding map key showing its actual location. The second series of maps are environmental data layers that are used as an informational source and are influential in designating Planning Areas. The mapped data layers are:

  1. The Landscape Project Endangered Species Habitat
  2. Wetland and Critical Sub-Watersheds
  3. Natural Heritage Program Priority Sites
  4. Dedicated Open Space
  5. Groundwater Recharge Areas
  6. Sewer Service Status.

A brief description precedes each map. The information made available is to serve as a start to conversations and negotiations during Cross Acceptance. Passaic County looks forward to municipal as well as public input throughout this process. To learn more, visit nj.gov/state/planning/state-plan-cross-acceptance.shtml.
