County Clerk Danielle Ireland-Imhof is a native New Jerseyan with a strong history of effectively connecting people with resources to make a difference. Since being elected in 2018, and re-elected in 2023, Ireland-Imhof proudly serves Passaic County, New Jersey as the County Clerk. Ireland-Imhof is the longest-serving woman of color and the only African American County Clerk in New Jersey’s 21 counties.
As County Clerk, Ireland-Imhof oversees the provision of a range of statutory services including the recording of all property transaction records (deeds, mortgages, etc.), passport services, administering oaths to notaries, issuing veterans’ identification cards, filing Business Trade Names, preparing election ballots, issuing vote by mail ballots, and certifying election results to the New Jersey Secretary of State. One of Ireland-Imhof’s primary goals is ensuring a high level of accessibility of her office’s services for the 500,000+ residents of Passaic County. The County Clerk’s Office regularly engages with towns, community and civic groups, senior living communities, and other organizations to hold outreach mobile office hours. Prior to serving as the Passaic County Clerk, Ireland-Imhof served as the Business Administrator and Municipal Clerk for Prospect Park, New Jersey. She holds a New Jersey state license as a Registered Municipal Clerk and earned a Masters Degree in Public Administration following the receipt of her Bachelor of Arts, both from Rutgers University. She is the proud wife of Louis Imhof, and they reside in Hawthorne, New Jersey.
